Solus et Amatus.

I and these disheartened faces ride this train alone.
Some of us to lovers ride and others of us, home.
And though we all sit here together,
In light of life's more heartless weather,
Like a feather, I fall aimlessly and ride this train alone.

A Rousing Proposal

Unhinge the doors that keep you from walking the ways they cover,
A lover now, your conscience pleads you to turn your stubborn head
To hear what has been said, your knees give to amorous inclinations
These deep blue sensations send you reeling, your inhibitions shed.

Breathe deeply for the emotion found hidden in the midnight
This night is not to be forgotten or left to be discovered.
Uncover yourself, and let me see the self that you've been hiding
Biting lips, the end of whispers, the beginnings of her confiding.

The Fall

It seems as though my reaching for an apple on this tree,
Has led me right up to the branch from which she watches me.
She taunts me in her stillness, her color makes me blush,
Her goldenrod complexion bids my amber fervor hush.

My footing slowly slips from the orchard's wisest tree,
My hands are pulled by the jealous ground in light of glimpsing thee,
I fall then into the greedy arms of the mighty envy green,
And hope one day he reaches you, that you too might fall to me.

Invasion Dream - January 17, 2010

At school in the middle of the night, class was suddenly interrupted by what seemed to be, a loud and particularly violent earthquake. All proceeded outside to observe the night sky. As we watched, large vessels came into view and lit up the surrounding clouds. Panicking, we rushed into the gym to hide from an impending attack from the ships. Once a ground invasion began, people realized the futility of hiding. People rushed into cars, 18-wheelers, anything nearby that they could use to escape. I hid under a truck but continued to observe the surrounding chaos. Cars were crashing, people were screaming, however, the 'aliens' did not seem to be killing anyone, just chasing them down and searching for something. When they found me however, they began rushing at me in a mass and shouting with horrible yells and gnashing of teeth. I ran to the nearest car and tried to get away. It was then, I woke up. Upon going back to sleep about 15 minutes later, I expected another dream entirely, however, the next one seemed to follow seamlessly on the end of the first. I had escaped to my house and was in hiding, all the while watching the news on the unfolding invasion and fearing for my life. Throughout the dream, I had an ability to levitate seemingly anything, and here at home, I passed the time by doing so. The next thing I knew, the only way to save oneself from death by these creatures was to genetically alter one's DNA by combining their genes with one's own. My family began uploading their DNA to a computer but I refused to do so. Soon after these aliens appeared at the top of my driveway scowling and fuming at me, taunting and threatening me with their weapons. Upon going to school the next day. I passed Benjamin, a Jewish boy whose father, a rabbi, only let him alter 10% of his DNA in order to preserve his heritage, however his physical appearance had significantly changed. Demi, a girl with multiple sclerosis, had been previously confined to a wheelchair but could now walk and spoke to me in the hallway. After observing the superhuman effects of the genetic combination amongst my classmates, I woke up.
